Merced Scholars Charter School is a community initiated and supported charter school for grades 6-12. It operates as a public school supported by the Merced County Office of Education. MSCS offers instruction in a personalized learning session with a certificated teacher. Our mission is to provide a collaborative culture for parents, staff and community partners while supporting career and college preparatory information and guidance for a seamless transition into higher education.

What We Offer

  • Grades 6 - 12 home schooling support in a publicly funded program.

  • UC approved courses that meet a-g requirements.
  • Flexible scheduling and selection of courses for both the student and parent.
  • Weekly contact with a certificated teacher.
  • Enrichment Programs.
  • Opportunities to accelerate at the individual student's pace.
  • Cumulative records, including transcripts.
  • State-mandated standardized testing.
  • MSCS classes are transferable to other public high schools.
  • Opportunity for college ready students to take Merced College classes while still attending high school.
